Our Mission
The mission of the Goochland Sheriffs Foundation is to support community outreach activities and programs of the Goochland County Sheriff’s Office.
Additionally, the Goochland Sheriffs Foundation provides a resource for the Goochland County Sheriff's Office, where donations, goods or services can be received and disbursed for the benefit of the Office, without the appearance of impropriety, while furthering the goal of providing for the safety and well-being of all citizens of Goochland County.
About Us
The Goochland Sheriffs Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2022 by a group of citizen volunteers.
The Foundation is not part of the Goochland County Sheriff’s Office and is not affiliated with any political party.
The Foundation is governed by a board of directors and is managed by officers elected annually by the board of directors.
A member of the Sheriff’s Office Command Staff serves as an ex officio member of the Board without a vote.
The Foundation is funded entirely by community support and donations. We host various fundraising events in coordination with the sheriff’s office's community outreach activities. All donations directly benefit the mission of the Goochland Sheriffs Foundation.
None of the Foundation’s directors, officers, or volunteers receives remuneration from the Foundation for their services.

Our Board of Directors is made up of community leaders from Goochland County who have a genuine interest in supporting our Goochland County Sheriff's Office and the officers who serve our community.

Who we support
We believe in protecting those who protect us. Our mission extends to the families of our fallen and injured heroes, ensuring they are never forgotten in their time of need. Whether through line-of-duty support or assisting deputies during family tragedies, the Foundation stands as a pillar of stability for those who serve Goochland County and across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Families of Fallen Officers
We support families as they experience the unspeakable tragedy of line-of-duty sacrifice across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Officers injured in the line of duty
We support officers who are injured in the line of duty across the Commonwealth of Virginia, when needed, to assist them with their immediate needs, often needed while they wait for other benefits to kick in.
GCSO employees
We support those in their time of need who dedicate their lives to running to us in our time of need.
